Foundational Method 2
Foundational Method 2
Course Summary
Foundational Method 2 builds upon the principles and skills developed in Foundational Method 1, guiding students toward greater integration of structure, movement, and internal coordination.
Where the first course focuses on establishing the essential conditions for practice, Foundational Method 2 explores how those conditions are maintained and expressed through increasingly dynamic movement. Students learn to connect posture, balance, relaxation, breath, and whole-body coordination into a unified method rather than a collection of separate techniques.
Through progressive exercises and traditional training methods, students develop greater awareness of weight transfer, continuity of movement, rootedness, and the relationship between stillness and motion. The emphasis remains on understanding principles rather than memorizing choreography, allowing students to build a reliable foundation for deeper Tai Chi practice.
This course serves as the bridge between fundamental development and the more comprehensive training presented in the Core Curriculum series.
Ideal for:
- Students who have completed Foundational Method 1
- Practitioners seeking greater integration and coordination
- Individuals wishing to deepen their understanding of traditional Tai Chi principles
- Students preparing to enter the Core Curriculum training pathway
